We are the Student Engineering Council (SEC), a student-led organization with over 100 internal members, dedicated to supporting and representing the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT Austin. SEC currently serves 35 member organizations under our umbrella, working to unite and empower a diverse community of engineering students. Our mission is to Serve, Enrich, and Cultivate the Cockrell School by providing resources, hosting impactful events, and fostering leadership and collaboration.
With your help, donors will directly support organizing signature programs such as Cockrell Kickoff, Engineers Week, Engineering Tailgate, Finals Week Study Breaks, Make-a-thon, Engineering Day of Service, and many more. In addition, your support helps sustain important initiatives like the Cockrell Advisory Mentorship Program, which connects students with experienced mentors to guide their academic and professional journeys. These programs create a welcoming environment, encourage professional and personal growth, and strengthen connections across campus.
