The Longhorn Energy Club is a multidisciplinary, student‑run organization at The University of Texas at Austin dedicated to educating, connecting, and empowering students interested in the future of energy. We bring together engineers, business students, policy thinkers, and scientists to explore emerging energy technologies and the global transition toward cleaner, more sustainable systems. Through speaker events, workshops, site visits, competitions, and industry partnerships, we give students hands‑on opportunities to apply their skills and engage directly with leaders shaping the energy landscape.
We are fundraising to host the our premier event, The Texas Energy Innovation Night, taking place in October 2026. This event is a special night that brings together the best minds from the Forty Acres, the growing city of Austin, and the state of Texas to see how Texas researchers and companies are building the energy technologies that start here and change the world. This event is community-centered and caters to students, startup founders, venture capitalists, and corporate executives to interact with the Longhorn energy scene for recruiting our talented students as well as fostering strategic partnerships between research groups, companies, and investment funds.
Funds will support event logistics, materials, food for participants, project prizes, and enabling broader student access to this unique experiential learning opportunity.
