We are a group of students invested in cultivating the most rewarding environment and experience for members of The Longhorn Band by way of service for both its members and the community through music.
Our organization oversees a number of activities to keep the program running smoothly. Whether it be game day food and snacks for every member of the Longhorn Band (KKY) or providing quick medical assistant for mild symptoms every time we meet for games or rehearsal (TBS) we ensure that our students are safe and ready to give the best performance. Preparing for these performances starts in rehearsal where we set up speakers, bringing gear, and provide water to the band. Outside of rehearsals and game day, we also perform and volunteer in and around the greater Austin area, assist the New Member transition into University for new members of the band (LHBSA), run the biggest zero waste program at the University with game day composting, and offer every member of the Longhorn Band resources to support their academic, social, and personal success.
All funds gained from this campaign will be used to directly serve the members of the Longhorn Band in a variety of ways. Our goal is to continue growing opportunities for the members of our program and improve our ability to provide the soundtrack to the university.
