The objective of Omega Chi Epsilon (OXE) is to recognize and promote high scholarship, original investigation, camaraderie, and professional service in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. The Society serves both undergraduate and graduate chemical engineering students nationwide.
To fulfill the goals of the Society, the Epsilon Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin invites students who are in the top 20 percent of their junior or senior class. Graduate students with a 3.5 GPA are also eligible for membership. New members go through a semester-long candidacy process to understand the values promoted by Omega Chi Epsilon. The Chapter also encourages meaningful student-faculty dialogue within the department.
