The Friends of Field Camp Experience Fund helps ensure that all Jackson School students get to participate in what many remember as the most rewarding part of their Jackson School journey - Field Camp. By taking students into the field, we help create independent and self-sufficient researchers and scientists who are prepared for all parts of their career after college. Your support empowers the next generation of geoscientists and strengthens the geoscience community. Make a lasting impact — donate today and help create life-changing opportunities!

Field camp is an essential component of a geosciences education, and courses like GEO 660, the Hydrogeology Field Course, and the Marine Geology & Geophysics Field Course help students build the practical skills and confidence they'll carry into their careers.
If you remember your first field course, you know how transformative those experiences can be. Your support helps ensure today’s students have that same opportunity.
Your gift helps provide:
- Meals and lodging that allow students to spend extended time learning in the field
- Access to campgrounds and field sites where hands-on research takes place
- Specialized equipment such as generators or research vessels used during field investigations
"Field camp was a one-of-a-kind experience that accelerated my education in fieldresearch and geology as a whole. The beautiful scenery, hilarious adventures, and amazing friends made during the trip are memories I will look back on for years to come."
Aidan Abrenica, B.S. '26
Your support for the Friends of Field Camp Experiences Fund powers the real-world learning, leadership opportunities, and global research that set a Jackson School education apart—preparing our students to take on the planet’s most urgent challenges in natural resources, sustainability, climate, energy, and beyond.
Thank you!
