Empower the Next Generation of Engineers
Engineer Your World (EYW) brings the rigor of a UT Austin education into high school classrooms. Developed by UT faculty and NASA advisors, our engineering curriculum challenges students to solve authentic problems using the same design processes practiced by professional engineers.
The Challenge
The leap from high school to college can be overwhelming. We bridge that gap by equipping students with the technical habits and creative confidence they need to thrive—not just survive.
How Your Gift Makes an Impact
Your support during 40 Hours for the Forty Acres directly funds the tools and mentorship students need to succeed:
- School Launch Grants: Starting an engineering program requires a significant "startup" investment in specialized equipment, technology, and teacher training. Your gift removes these financial hurdles for new partner schools.
- Academic Mentorship: We provide UT Undergraduate Student Graders for high school students pursuing UT credit. These Cockrell School students provide peer feedback that helps younger students calibrate their work to university standards..
