Who We Are
The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) is a student-driven, project-focused organization dedicated to making robotics accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. We warmly welcome students of all majors, years, and experience levels to join and discover a project that suits their interests. This year, RAS will participate in three competition-focused projects: the Integrated Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC), VEX U, and RoboMaster. Additionally, we will continue hosting Demobots and Robotathon, which are less competitive committees for projects with a more flexible and casual timeline.
Through these hands-on projects, we allow students to develop industry-relevant skills in embedded systems, mechanical design, and software development. Our members thrive in multidisciplinary competitive and noncompetitive teams, honing collaboration and communication skills essential for real-world engineering.
What Weβre Fundraising For
We are fundraising to source relevant materials for building all of our robots.
Your Impact
Supporting many concurrent project committees is only possible through external funding. Your support enables us to continue offering inclusive opportunities that inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders in STEM fields. We humbly ask you to join us in our mission to empower young innovators and shape the future of robotics education. Your support enables us to continue offering inclusive opportunities that inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders in STEM fields. Thank you for considering our cause and investing in the diverse talents and potential of our members.
