University Fashion Group Capstone Fashion Show 2026
University Fashion Group is the University of Texas at Austin's primary student fashion organization. Through its work, UFG fosters a community of passionate, creative, and forward-thinking individuals who love fashion.
Since 2021, UFG and its members have taken on the challenge of producing the Capstone Fashion Show, making it a fully student-run event! UFG handles everything from photo shoots to program printing, vendor research, model casting, and marketing outreach. The organization also works closely with the showcased designers to maintain artistic integrity while also providing volunteering opportunities for UT students to gain meaningful experience in event production, public relations, modeling, marketing, etc., relevant to the fashion industry.
The Capstone Fashion Show is an annual University Fashion Group event planned along with the Textiles and Apparel department within the College of Natural Science that aims to showcase the Textile and Apparel Design students' talents as they finish their studies at UT. Each spring semester, student designers begin their work on a 4-look collection to present at the end of the semester on the runway of UFG’s Capstone Fashion Show. This event brings UT fashion designers, their families, faculty, and students together to celebrate this important milestone in these young designers’ careers.
All funds raised will help elevate the front-of-house experience, facilitate back-of-house operations, and promote the talents present within the intertwined community of UFG and TXA. The funds will be used to cover expenses like venue rental, promotional material, printed material, light and sound equipment, seating, staging, draping, filming, and production supplies.
