About TX Votes
TX Votes is a non-partisan, non-advocacy, student organization sponsored by the Annette Strauss Institute that registers voters, educates students about the electoral process, and encourages voter turnout at UT Austin.

Invest in Civic Engagement
TX Votes is dedicated to empowering students with the resources and information they need to participate in every election. Each year, we host major events like National Voter Registration Day, Voter Education Week, the Last Day to Register to Vote, and Early Voting outreach to engage as many students as possible. These large-scale initiatives help us register voters, provide essential election information, and foster a culture of civic engagement on campus. With your support, we can expand these efforts, reach even more students, and ensure that every Longhorn has the opportunity to make their voice heard at the ballot box.

Real Students. Real Impact.
Donations are essential to TX Votes' mission of increasing voter participation and civic engagement at The University of Texas at Austin. Your support directly helps students navigate the voting process and make their voices heard. Take Nathan Yohannis—a busy Electrical and Computer Engineering student from Harris County. Like many students, he wasn’t aware that he needed to update his voter registration to vote in Austin and had no backup plan to vote at home. Thanks to TX Votes’ outreach outside the Engineering Education and Research Center (EER), Nathan was able to register in Austin and learn more about the 2024 election, empowering him to make an informed decision at the ballot box.
Nathan’s story is just one of many. Every year, TX Votes helps thousands of students overcome barriers to voting. None of this would be possible without generous donors like you. Your gift allows us to expand our reach, host impactful events, and ensure that every Longhorn has the opportunity to participate in our democracy.
