Hackathons. They're what bring tech enthusiasts and beginners alike together to a place where they can harness the true power of computers, bringing the most innovative of projects to life!
We at Freetail Hackers, a student led organization under the Computer Science department and College of Natural Sciences, organize hackathons! Our team of 50 dedicated organizers works to organize our flagship event, HackTX -- one of the biggest and most well reputed hackathons in the country. HackTX brings upwards of a thousand students from all over the world together to work on tech projects from scratch over the course of 30 hours.

By donating to us, you'll help us bring technological opportunities to a whole new generation of students. We think that learning more about working with computers should be accessible to all, meaning we keep our events 100% free to all attendees, and provide them with whatever we can to make their experience the best it can be. That means that your money would entirely and fully go directly towards helping students learn, whether that be through funding workshops, prizes, networking opportunities, meals, and just overall making sure their weekend learning about using technology is memorable!

Money from donors like you is what keeps us running and ensures our hackathons are free and accessible to all. In tandem with our corporate sponsors, which have included tech giants like Google, Dell, and Intel, you'd be helping to make sure students know more about how to make projects that can help make society better. After all, what starts here changes the world!
