About Us
The HLA program’s mission is to prepare members with skills to achieve Dell Medical School's vision of defining the future of health. The program accomplishes its mission by organizing health leadership development opportunities, including partnering with UT faculty, staff, graduate students and community partners on internships and projects that improve health and health care in Texas.

Our Campaign Mission
Health Leadership Apprentice Program members participate in one or more experiential learning opportunities during their time in the program. At the end of the year, members present their work at the program’s showcase event, highlighting their contributions to advancing Dell Med’s mission and vision. The proceeds from the 40 for Forty campaign would go directly into supporting these efforts.

HLA members collaborate with and receive mentorship from UT faculty, staff, and community partners on developing effective public health interventions driven by community priorities. Donations allow us to compensate community members for being a part of our research projects. Additionally, members participate in various health leadership development events every semester. An effective campaign would allow us to hold high-impact trainings, team building, and community service opportunities for students. HLA members collaborate through dedicated committees to assist in operating a successful and sustainable program for all. Donations would allow us to provide students with incentives for their year-round efforts.
