The Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is the largest department in the Cockrell School of Engineering with more than 2,500 students and 80 faculty. Our outstanding faculty bring state-of-the-art research, development, and design experience into the classroom, ensuring that our students and alumni are amongst the best in their fields and that our research advances the scientific community as well as society and business.
Texas ECE Amplify is a mentoring program designed to help increase the ECE community experience by bringing students together, providing support, and creating a network to enrich the educational experiences of our undergraduate students. It fosters professional development by providing guidance on how to choose a technical area, and how to successfully secure a summer internship.
Your gift will support students as they move forward in their future education and careers as electrical and computer engineers.
In their second year, students will determine their technical core: Do I want to be a software engineer? Work with integrated circuits? Nanoelectronics? Computer architecture? How do I find an internship in the area I choose? How do I determine which jobs I can pursue in this area and which companies I might want to work for? Who can answer my questions? This is where the Texas ECE Amplify program steps in to educate, support, and help direct them to reach their goals and help them maximize their own potential.
The 2024-25 academic year saw the Amplify program being piloted, and it is already making a big difference in students' lives. We need your support to reach more students, provide more mentoring, and introduce more opportunities.
Amplify their education. Amplify their potential. Amplify their future.
