Support Texas Dance
Texas Dance is the official competitive dance team of the University of Texas at Austin. Established in 1977, Texas Dance maintains a long tradition of performance, competition and excellence in representing UT.
Focusing on jazz and hip-hop, the team hosts a seasonal showcase, performs in multiple events on the Forty Acres, and attends National Dance Alliance (NDA) Nationals.
Texas Dance strives to give back to the Austin community by hosting clinics and workshops for young dancers. In the spring, we rehearse, compete and hold tryouts!
HOOK 'EM from Austin to Daytona!
Our team fundraises for our journey to NDA Nationals every April, where the top collegiate teams around the nation compete in Daytona Beach, Florida.
To prepare for our competition, we rehearse up to twelve hours a week out of dedication for our success. Dancers spend long hours in the studio to solidify Texas Dance's place among the best college dancers in the country.
Unlike many teams in NDA's D1A division, we are not a university-affiliated sport, and are an entirely student-run team. Donor contributions assist with the choreography, costumes, transportation and fees necessary to represent the University of Texas at Austin with success and pride.
We appreciate any donations that will help us get to nationals!
Thank God we were born Texas Longhorns!
A donor's gift will make an impact on the university as our team represents UT on one of the biggest stages of collegiate dance at NDA.
Your gift will support us on our journey to nationals as we strive to make an impact on the Forty Acres and beyond.
