Texas Rock Climbing (TRC) is the official climbing team at UT Austin. We represent UT in the Collegiate Climbing Series, the national governing body for competitive collegiate climbing. We offer opportunities for climbers of all skill levels to meet new people and to become a part of Austin's vibrant and growing climbing community. TRC hosts numerous social events and volunteer opportunities throughout the year that are open to every member!
TRC has a competitive team which actively competes in local and national level of competitions. All funds will go towards supporting our team by paying our coach, Julian, purchasing new jerseys, or allowing more people access to nationals.
Our coach, Julian, has implemented a rigorous training program to the benefit of all climbers who actively participate and join our weeknight practices. Julian's program has prepared and pushed our climbers to greatly improve on their weak areas. This improvement has been seen with recent results at our most recent qualification event (QE) at Momentum Katy, where UT climbers have secured top spots in nearly all categories.
