We are Texas Ballroom, the ballroom dance club at the University of Texas at Austin. We offer professional instruction in International Standard and Latin, Social, and Country Western styles of dance for social, competitive, and performance dancing. We welcome everyone, especially beginners, and give everyone the opportunity to learn, grow, and form a close community amongst our members. We maintain a vibrant social atmosphere on top of regular classes and competitions.
We first aim to raise funds to support our current and future competitive members in their ballroom endeavors. The cost of ballroom dancing has been cited as a barrier for many, so we would like to provide greater financial assistance for travel expenses and competition fees. Secondly, we would like to organize community events where we host socials, performances, and outreach programs so we can share our passion with the broader community.
Generous donations provide so many experiences for underprivileged members of our organization to attend competitions. We strive to be all-inclusive by allowing all of our members to showcase their talents. We can reach new places and bring more people to represent our club and UT Austin with your financial support.
