To create something truly usable, we are aiming for $14,000!
Help us build a community center in South India—your support makes it possible!
We are a team of UT Austin students in the Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC) program, partnering with a community in Andhra Pradesh, India, to design and build a community center. This space will serve as a hub for gatherings, education, and local initiatives, creating a safe and sustainable environment that supports connection and growth.
PUC combines engineering, social work, and cross-cultural collaboration, which means our team is working side by side with community members to ensure the design reflects their needs and will remain impactful for years to come. With your support, we can fund the materials and resources necessary to bring this vision to life and strengthen the opportunities available to the community.

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially reached our $12,000 goal — thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared our campaign!
As we wrap up, we’re now aiming for an extended goal of $14,000. These additional funds will help us build a community center that’s not just complete, but truly usable and long-lasting for the families in Kotrakona.
If you’re able to share our campaign one more time, it would mean a lot. Thank you for helping us finish strong! 🤘
238 days ago by Amrita AjmeraWe’re entering our final week of the campaign, and we’re excited to share that we’ve raised almost $9,000! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far. Your generosity is bringing us closer each day to making the Kotrakona community center a reality.
But we’re not done yet! We still have a bit of a climb ahead, and every single share and donation makes a real difference as we push toward our goal.
To keep things fun, we also hosted a football squares fundraiser this past week — and it was semi-successful, which in our book means “fun, chaotic, and definitely worth doing again.” If you want to participate in the next round for the UT vs. Texas A&M game, all the details are on our Instagram page!
Thank you for sticking with us through this final stretch. Let’s make this last week count! Hook em!🤘
243 days ago by Amrita AjmeraWe’ve officially reached 65% of our fundraising goal. Thank you to everyone who’s helped us get this far! Your support is bringing us closer each day to building a community center that will serve hundreds of families in Kotrakona.
Now we’re entering the final stretch, and we need your help more than ever. We’re just $4,000 away from our goal: the amount we need to cover our material and construction costs.
If you’ve already donated, one of the most impactful things you can do now is share our campaign with someone new. A quick message to a friend, family member, coworker, or group chat truly makes a difference.
We’ve officially entered the “refreshing the HornRaiser page every five minutes” stage of the campaign. If you want to make our next refresh extra exciting, please share our fundraiser!
Thank you for helping us push through these last steps. Let’s finish strong and build something meaningful together. 🤘
250 days ago by Amrita AjmeraWe’re halfway to our fundraising goal! 🎉 Thank you all so much for your incredible support — your generosity is helping turn this community center from a plan into a reality.
We’re halfway across the finish line… but we can’t build halfway to a community center! Please help us keep the momentum going by sharing our campaign with friends, family, and anyone who might want to join our mission. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact.
In other exciting news, Team Green has received a research grant to help cover the costs of the community work we’ll be doing in-country! We’re so grateful for this additional support from UT Austin — Hook ’Em! 🤘
A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make the launch of our campaign such a success! We are so proud of the progess that has been made in this first week and are excited to continue with this momentum!
Outside of fundraising, our team has also been busy on the engineering side. The bidding process for construction contracts has begun, and we're gearing up to start the drawing and design phase for our community center. All in all, this puts us right where we need to be on the path to completion!
