Be part of the crew bringing this first-ever exhibition to life at the Blanton Museum of Art.
Together weโll launch Stargazing: Space Exploration, Science Fiction, and the Artistic Imagination, an exhibition that explores space through science and art. Stargazing features works from the Blanton's collection alongside extraordinary contributions from NASA, the UT McDonald Observatory, UT Libraries, the Briscoe Center for American History, the Harry Ransom Center, and UT alumni who have journeyed into space. Together, they invite stargazers and sci-fi fans of all ages to experience the scientific discoveries and creativity that continue to shape — and inspire — our understanding of the universe.
"Copy, Moon joy."
Follow Blanton curator and lifelong sci-fi fan Florencia "Flor" Bazzano over the coming year as she shares the excitement and joy of preparing this major exhibition. From collaborating with astronomers and archivists to creating the exhibition design and developing educational experiences for Kโ12 and University students, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to launch an exhibition that's out of this world.
Mission Control
Every mission needs a crew. Help us reach our goal of $100,000 to bring Stargazing to life for museum visitors, including more than 5,000 Kโ12 students and 15,000 UT Austin students. As Texas continues to lead the future of space exploration and technology, your generous support will help inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and artists.
Join the mission. Make your gift today and count down to the launch of Stargazing, opening on September 26, 2027, at the Blanton Museum of Art.
