The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) is an undergraduate robotics student organization striving to serve a diverse community of students. No matter the experience level, year, or major, we welcome and encourage all students interested in robotics to join. Our mission is to expand the knowledge of robotics and make robotics more accessible for all through hands-on experience and outreach, and it is our goal to inspire the next generation of robotics enthusiasts!
RAS has five competitive and non-competitive committees for students to participate in.
Competitive Committees:
RoboMaster: a 3v3 FPS-style shooter game, but with robots! Heavily focused on custom manufacturing, computer vision, power management systems, and robot controls.
VEXU: a 2v2 robotics sport competition, primarily centered around high-level software development and computer vision as well as fast mechanical prototyping.
IGVC: a competitive committee that aims to create a fully autonomous vehicle to traverse a track ridden with obstacles such as traffic cones, ramps, and potholes.

Non-Competitive Committees:
Demobots: a committee focused on creative projects for building mechatronic and robotic systems for fun! Our most famous Demobot, Couchbot, can be seen driving around on campus.
Robotathon: our annual competition held in the Fall where students are provided a robotics kit, and within two months, create a remote-controlled robot capable of line, color, and wall sensing!

Please donate today to help fund our projects and stay up-to-date on our progress by following us on social! We greatly appreciate your support.
