The Department of Molecular Biosciences (MBS) at UT Austin is proud to offer intensive, one-month May Term bootcamp courses designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly growing biotechnology sector.
These immersive experiences equip students with foundational and advanced skills; from mastering CRISPR gene editing techniques to cultivating mammalian cells and producing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
Texas is home to a vibrant biotech ecosystem, and our graduates are in high demand for high-paying, impactful roles in industry and research. To ensure equitable access to these transformative opportunities, we are launching a HornRaiser campaign to fund $5,000 scholarships for four students pursuing summer internships in 2026. These internships will place students in leading biotech companies, UT research labs, and core facilities where they can apply their training in real-world settings.
Your donation will directly support students who are passionate about science and innovation but may lack the financial means to participate in these career-launching experiences. Together, we can grow and sustain these bootcamps, expand access, and help our students become leaders in biotechnology.
Please consider making a gift today to support the future of biotech—one Longhorn at a time!
