Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC) is a collaborative program between Texas Global, the Cockrell School of Engineering and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work that focuses on the development and execution of a service-learning project providing needed services to communities in developing countries.
This year, PUC: Greece is working to build a recreation center in refugee community Camp Drama in Drama, Greece. The center would include various, multifunctional equipment that would provide residents with opportunities for physical activity, supporting self-care and overall well-being. By promoting active lifestyles, the outdoor gym will contribute to the broader goal of fostering health and motivation within the camp community.
